Am truly humbled by this as there are some amazing women on the list. I’ve worked on the Women’s Enterprise Agenda for over 10 years. I was the Deputy Director for the The Women’s Business Development Agency, and then the Director of the Women’s Enterprise Centre of of Expertise. I bit the bullett and set up my own business as a social entrepreneur in 2010. My passion is sbout making a difference in the lives of women experiencing the worst effects of social and or economic exclusion, and making sure women are given the opportunity to improve their skills and confidence, to then go on and empower themselves and their own communities. Being on this list just spurs me on to keep on chipping away, advocating and lobbying to reduce the gender gap in enterprise globally, and to make people realise the strong economic case for supporting women into entrepreneurship.I applaud everyone on this llist, and all of the other unsung heroines around the globe making a noise for their campaigns and making a difference. We’ll keep rocking boats until we see change!!! Marla
