June is a past President of the International Council of Jewish Women and Deputy Chair of NAWO on which she represents the League of Jewish Women. She serves on Padeia, is a founder of the Black Jewish Asian Forum, a trustee of the Kessler Foundation, and Vice President of the Memorial Foundation for Jewish Culture where she is Chairperson of the Nahum Goldmann Fellowship Program.
She is totally intolerant of abuses of human rights, working tirelessly to stop rape in the Congo and wherever it is used as a weapon of war and arguing against the right wing stances all too readily adopted byIsraeland by Jews in the Diaspora against the idea and reality of Palestine and its people.
She stands up for the rights of the dispossessed working all the time in a quiet behind the scenes way and making everyone laugh and feel just a little bit better about the sometimes difficult decisions they must take. June is witty and funny and beautiful.
