I would like to nominate Miriam Kennet, the founder of the Green Economics Institute. She has worked to turn green economics from an idea to a robust academic discipline and has succeeded in getting the discipline taken seriously. She is committed to social and environmental justice for all and is committed to gender equality. As well as discussing these ideas in theory, she puts them into practice by choosing a wide variety of speakers for conferences and always ensuring a gender balance.
